Update!

    Writing a blog is a lot more difficult than I thought it would be. I have so many things I want to blog about, but I’ll save those topics for later;) . This one is just going to be a bit more of an update on how things are going and how life has been since my first blog. It’s been a little over a month since I have been accepted, so here’s an update on things.

   When I first started fundraising several weeks ago, I told myself I’d like to raise around $2,000 by October. It was a goal of mine that I thought I wouldn’t reach. But y’all, God provides. I am so happy to say that I have around $2,000 raised towards my trip!!! How amazing is that?? You guys are incredible. To say I’m thankful is an understatement. Your support, prayers, donations, and encouragement have been so greatly appreciated on this journey. 

   I had so many doubts and fears when I first started fundraising. I thought I was “too shy” to fundraise and actually talk to people. I thought no one would care to support. But God is so much greater than the enemy that whispers in your ear. The enemy that tells you that you can’t do certain things. The enemy that lies to make you feel doubtful or weak. God is so much greater than that. The Lord’s goodness and faithfulness is my shelter and let me tell y’all, He’s been so faithful this past month. Thanks God. 

    Over the past couple of weeks, numbers have been added to our squad. Seeing people say yes to God and take such a leap of faith is amazing! We’ve all got to know each other a tiny bit. I recently got to chat with a couple of the girls on my route over a zoom call, and they already seem like the sweetest people. Cannot wait to do life with all of these people next year. With every day that passes, my excitement grows tremendously. Seeing the racers right now in Georgia and seeing how God is working there has me geeked for next September (well I guess June…boot camp y’know?). Thanking God everyday for this opportunity. 

   As of right now I am working on t-shirts (yay!!) and other little fundraisers for the future, so stay tuned for those! My next goal is to raise around $3,000 by the end of December. It’s a decent goal, but I have no doubt we can beat it! Thank you to everyone following along with this journey and helping out in any way possible!
